NANNING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The Beibu Gulf Port comprises three individual ports located in the coastal cities of Beihai, Qinzhou, and Fangchenggang in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and serves as a crucial transit point for interconnectivity between western China and Southeast Asia. Bolstered by a steady increase in shipments to ASEAN countries, the port has sustained remarkable growth in throughput.

Connecting over 200 ports in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, the Beibu Gulf Port has basically achieved full coverage of the seaports of ASEAN members. 

Geographically well-positioned, the Beibu Gulf Port is poised to assume a larger role in global seaborne trade, as trade with ASEAN countries has been the key driver behind a sustained increase in the volume of cargo handled by the port.

In recent years, Guangxi has sought open, ocean-oriented development opportunities to make greater achievements in promoting high-quality development.
